Over the years, we’ve seen a disturbing rise in PINOs – Patriots In Name Only. These are people who are more than happy to wave a flag, vote Republican, and call themselves conservatives. They say they’re proud of their nation, proud to be American, and would give anything to preserve their way of life and protect their children’s future. But when it comes time to take action, to protect their values and way of life, they stop. They always have a reason why they can’t.
These are the same people who spend more time worried about work on Monday or needing time to wind down from work than actively participating in the protection of their country. They provide moral support to others and expect those above them to take care of things. They don’t understand the power they’ve been given and the ability they have to make a difference.
The reality is that these “patriots” in name only have been given many different chances to step up and take action, but they no longer see that they have these options or abilities. They have become self-silencing and self-destroying, perpetuating the very problems they claim to want to solve. They leave everything up to those who are being active and pursuing their goals, even if those goals are completely against theirs.
It’s very easy to fall into this mindset, and it’s almost entirely promoted by those in power. When they don’t hear from voters, they feel that they have free reign to do what they want and say what they want. This includes going against things that Republicans and conservatives want, even when they themselves are either Republican or conservative.
But there is a way to combat this type of thinking. At Texas Patriot Republic, we show our members that there is a way to reach out and protect our way of life and our nation from those who want to see it destroyed. If you feel that this post is targeted towards you and you don’t know what to do, I have a very simple statement for you: give two hours or three hours a week. Those simple couple of hours a week can change the entire course of this nation.
You don’t even have to do anything major. Just research current bills, contact your local city or state or federal representative. There are many ways that you can contact them, and all you have to do is tell them that you support or don’t support something. A very simple e-mail that’s not just some stock premade e-mail can change a representative’s entire course. If you can take one hour out of your day once a week to write that e-mail, write that letter, or make that phone call, you’re giving that one hour to protect your future, your children’s future, and making a better America.
